THINKING ABOUT A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE?

Becoming healthier can improve all areas of your life. Not only will your physical health be far better, but emotionally you will be happier and less stressed. You will look great,
your figure will be good, your skin will improve and you will have more energy. However, adopting a healthier lifestyle can sometimes be hard to do on your own.

Whatever health changes you are planning to make, talking to an NHS Dudley Health Trainer could be just the thing to get you started. Health Trainers are a free NHS service based in your local area; they are local people that can support you on a one-to-one basis to lead a healthier
lifestyle by working with you to identify and achieve your own personal goals.

Trained to provide free advice and support on a whole range of health issues, including stopping smoking, losing weight, eating healthily, becoming more active and drinking sensibly, health trainers will not only meet you at a time and place to suit you, but will also offer you practical
support, treat you with respect and be completely confidential.

If you would like free help and support from a Health
Trainer or for further Information call 01384 321 790

WHY NOT TRY THIS OUT AND WRITE AND TELL US
WHAT YOU THINK??

A couple of issues ago I noticed an article on Healthy Hubs and the idea of outdoor gyms in some of the parksaround Dudley. The article mentioned that there was oneat the Dell Stadium in Brockmoor, not far from where I live.

Just recently I went down there to have a look at it with my husband. I didn't want to go on my own the first time as I was a bit embarrassed. We went at about 6 in the evening and there were a few kids around but no one took any notice of us or laughed at us.

It was really good, as you can exercise for free and go when you like, for as long as you like. There are diagrams on the machines explaining how to use them so it’s quite easy really. There were several pieces of equipment for your arms, legs and

waist and we had a go on all of them. We just went dressed in jeans and pumps.

I’m definitely going to go again and will use the walk there as part of the exercise. We can walk via Fens Pools so it’s a really nice walk as well and I’ll probably take the dog. It’ll give me something else to do that takes me out and about and is positive.

I feel OK to go on my own now I’ve been once with
someone else. My husband really enjoyed it as well
though and I think he’ll want to go again too. The great thing is you don't have to fork out for membership of a gym you may not use and can go when it suits you.
