to The Changing Times the quarterly magazine for and by people with addiction related problems and their families and friends, living in the Dudley borough. Out March, June, Sept and Dec. This is your space to express yourselves in words or pictures. It can be helpful to write about your own experiences and it helps others to read about them and realise they are not alone and to just share ideas thoughts and feelings. WHAT CAN I WRITE ABOUT? You could write about how it feels to have an alcohol, drug or gambling problem, personal stories, poems, what's helped you through the night, what you think of AA or NA, or rehab or detox, a book that's inspired you, or design a word search ! Friends and family can also write about things from their perspective too. Look in this issue for inspiration!! |
Don't
worry about handwriting or spelling as it all gets typed up and it's about expressing yourself. If you prefer, talk to your worker and ask them to write down your ideas for you, or give me a ring. IT'S ALL ANONYMOUS OR FIRST NAMES. The only restrictions are on things that may cause offence to someone and the production team makes that decision. (If you dont see your work in the magazine straight away it is probably because it missed the deadline or we are saving it for a later edition/theme. We haven't forgotten you!).
